You should see the 1 full bathroom we have . . . well, maybe not! It's old and needs updating and it is the only one we have. We decided to add a master bath and walk-in closet on the second floor. How is this possible, you ask. The before photos pretty much explain the setup.

It's been interesting to say the least. Our contractor, Ralph, found some "need to fix" areas that slowed things down a bit. The floor joist under the old 2nd floor exterior wall was quite inadequate, to say the least. And the header over the living room window is "rotten" and needs to be replaced (this can be done at a later time).
We could not get shingles to match the existing ones and since the existing roof would need redoing in another year or so, we went ahead and reshingled the old (yes, more $$$$$ we did not plan on at this time).
Ralph has been great! He is very professional and the quality of the work
is amazing. He will be back later in the fall to "fix" some more problems with this old house.
